In 2005, KINK did something no one else had the nerve to do: combine hardcore sex with authentic BDSM on camera, at scale. Before SAS, BDSM on film meant suggestion. Careful implication. SAS ended that. What followed was a new genre and a new standard.
The Porn Palace
Penetration in bondage was still taboo when SAS launched. KINK dismantled that by building a production framework centered on consent, negotiation, and performer safety. That foundation made the scenes feel real, because they were.
The Armory
Shortly after launch, KINK took over the San Francisco Armory. 200,000 square feet of Moorish architecture with a century of dark, layered history.
